6 Tweets by Stem Cell Scientists NOT About Stem Cell Science

Dr. Paul Knoepfler - @pknoepfler
Associate Professor at UCDavis in Sacramento, California whose research dives into the common biological control mechanisms of stem and cancer cells. Author of `Stem Cells - An Insider's Guide` and youth culture critic extraordinaire, particularly towards Apple`s new iWatch.

Dr. Christopher Scott - @TheStemCell
Director of the Stanford Program on Stem Cells in Society, faculty & senior research scholar at Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics, and member of Stanford Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine. `Stem Cell Now` his introductory stem cell biology text was useful as an undergraduate professor, but now he's a media keystone for coverage on ethics and policy, and apparently also dog sleeping positions.

Dr. Aj Vishwakarma@VishwakarmaAj
Post-doctoral research fellow at Harvard Medical School and an editor of `Stem Cell Biology and Tissue Engineering in Dental Sciences.` His research focuses on developing tissue engineered therapies using adult stem cells in combination with micro-nano scaffolds processed in bioreactors. Oh yeah, he's also from India, proud of it, and not afraid to drop some toilet-themed disses.

Dr. Robert Lanza@robertlanza
Stephen Hawking described Dr. Lanza as "one of the pioneers of stem cell therapies...already using them to help patients regenerate damaged body parts." A Feature in Fortune Magazine, being named one of TIME Magazine's 100 most influential people in the world, and currently Chief Scientific Officer at Advanced Cell Technology isn't enough for this highly respected and awarded scientist. He seems to also have his sights set on being as insightful as His Holiness the  Dalai Lama.

Dr. Alexey Bersenev - @cells_nnm
A cell trialist who works on manufacturing cell products for transplantation and therapy at the University of Pennsylvania. He also manages a blog about the current trends in cell therapy and clinical trials in medicine. I`m not sure where his great taste in music comes from, but I most certainly am not complaining.

Dr. Kenneth Lee - @ProfessorKenLee
A Scottish stem cell biologist who "like[s] to tweet about Stem Cells, publishing and toilet humour." Currently ProfessorKenLee is Chief of Stem Cell and Regeneration Program at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and very involved in the ongoing student protest occurring there. Not only do over 50s care, they inspire.
